Winterpills,
Greencards, others make songs Easy Like Sunday Morning Los Angeles, CA – Combining songs from Winterpills, Peter Bradley Adams, Eleni Mandell, the Greencards, and more, Easy Like Sunday Morning (street date 3/25) is the second release in Circle Back Music's Music to Live By series which is sponsored by Utne Reader. “It's always tricky to find just the right something to listen to on a lazy Sunday morning,” said Kelly McCartney, the series' producer. “This collection fills that void. It's an easy, mellow listen that isn't heavy in any way, unlike it's predecessor, Songs for a Broken Heart.” Continuing to showcase the immensity of talent in the independent music community, Easy Like Sunday Morning brings together wonderful artists from Nashville, Northampton, L.A., Boston, New York, and even Iceland. While listeners may already know and love Without Gravity, Joan Jones, and Edie Carey, they'll also discover folks like Elizabeth Foster, Jason Feller, and Clare Burson, quickly adding them to their favorite artists. The Music to Live By series serves as a fun guide through the indie music world, offering only the cream of the crop, as any good taste-maker should. The next two themes in the series are Music from the Aisle of Lesbos and Songs for Aging Hippies Come releasing in April and May, respectively. Artists such as Maia Sharp, Hanifah Walidah, Kristen Hall, The Ditty Bops, Tom Freund, Findlay Brown, Low Stars, The Silver Seas, and Steven Delopoulos are contributing. Easy Like Sunday Morning is being distributed digitally through IODA Alliance and will be available through IODA's full network of outlets including iTunes, eMusic, Rhapsody, and more, as well as the Circle Back Music website. Fifty percent of the proceeds will go to Honor the Earth. Easy Like Sunday Morning Track Listing: Sponsored by Utne Reader |
