The ANAZPPA was established after the indigenous Zapara of Venezuela people’s population went from 200,000 to only 20 families. The young members of the organization work on community based projects involved with language recovery, cultural revitalization, health, territorial rights, education, and organizational development.

The confederation as well as being politically active and aggressive within eco-circles also works with overseas nature conservancy organizations and Governments that all aid equally in the fight and help further conserve the local natives prime goals and objectives. Equally the local native has also grouped himself into several regional bodies that include all groupings and keeping everyone well informed of latest changes, laws and creating effective time responses for planning systematic countermeasures.

The Pachamama Alliance

The Pachamama Alliance is a U.S. based not-for-profit organization that was born out of a relationship developed between a group of people from the modern world and the leaders of remote indigenous groups in the Amazon region of Ecuador. The Alliance’s mission is to preserve the Earth’s tropical rainforests by empowering the Indigenous peoples who are its natural custodians and to contribute to the creation of a new global vision of equity and sustainability for all.
