The Jatun Sacha Foundation was established in the Ecuadorian Amazon in 1985. The foundation is a nonprofit, private Ecuadorian, non-governmental organization dedicated to the conservation, investigation and management of ecologically important habitats, environmental education and community development.

The Pachamama Alliance

The Pachamama Alliance is a U.S. based not-for-profit organization that was born out of a relationship developed between a group of people from the modern world and the leaders of remote indigenous groups in the Amazon region of Ecuador. The Alliance’s mission is to preserve the Earth’s tropical rainforests by empowering the Indigenous peoples who are its natural custodians and to contribute to the creation of a new global vision of equity and sustainability for all.
