Honor the Earth: About Us: Organizational Composition: Staff, Volunteers, and Consultants: Luke Warner - Development Associate

Luke Wilson

Raised in Los Angeles, Luke finished high school in England where he then studied for degrees in Art History and American Politics thus honing his passion for both the revolutionary and the aesthetic. In 2000, guided and inspired by the music and activism of Indigo Girls, Luke began to independently study environmental and energy justice and Native activism, setting out to one day work for Honor the Earth. While living abroad he co-managed a video store and a women’s co-op bookstore, worked for several domestic violence and feminist organizations, co-founded the Bristol chapter of Democrats Abroad and attended trainings in permaculture, strawbale building and biodiesel. He became involved officially with the organization in 2004 as a short-term volunteer and returned in 2006 as a summer volunteer on the White Earth reservation. In 2007, Luke finally moved from England to Minnesota to work full-time for Honor the Earth. He still can’t quite believe it.
